Chinese Tabernacle Baptist Church is a people joined together in Christ to worship God, grow in his grace, and express his love and truth in the community.

We are a multicultural church with members from over nine different countries and services held in both English and Mandarin Chinese. We are committed to expressing the life of Christ in our church, our society, and our homes and bringing others into his fellowship.

Going to a new church shouldn't be confusing or intimidating.

That's why want to go out of our way to make you feel comfortable and welcome! When you come, you can participate or just sit back and observe. You’ll discover a warm atmosphere, positive fellowship, uplifting music, and practical teaching from the Bible. And with great children's programs during both worship services, your kids will enjoy it too! 

Parking

We are located in a residential neighborhood. The church has a small parking lot but it usually fills up quickly. It is best to park nearby on Argyle St. There are always plenty of street parking available. 

Children

Children's program are held during both the 10:00am and 11:30am worship service. The programs are for children ages 3-12. Children under three years of age must be attended by a parent, but for your convenience there is a small nursery room inside the auditorium that you can utilize if necessary. Otherwise, your child can stay with you during the service. Children 13 and over should join the adults during the worship hour. 

Teens and young adults

Teens and young adults are invited to attend one of two English language Sunday school classes at 11:30am. The classes are divided by age (grade 6-9 and grade 10-young adult). Before Sunday school, teens and young adults can attend the 10:00am worship service. 

Worship

The morning worship service consists of prayer, singing, and a Bible message brought by one of our pastors. If you are a first-time visitor, you will be welcomed by the church family, presented with a small gift and a asked to fill out a visitor card on which you may indicated if you would like to be contacted. The 10:00am service ends before 11:30am and the 11:30am service will end around 1:00pm.

Our English Ministry reaches out to people to lead them to Christ, equip them to mature and one day to serve in Christ. No matter who you are and where you are from, you are welcome to join us. Your presence will enrich our gatherings!

Sunday Service: Sundays from 10am-11am
Sunday Schools: for various ages Sunday 11:15 am
Bible Studies:
College/career people study the Bible and have fellowship at church each week. Time: Thursday 7:30-9:30 pm

Bilingual Study Group-Zoom Highschool students meet on zoom to explore faith-related questions in English and Mandarin.

Monthly Family Fellowship:
Young families share food and have meaningful conversations, while their kids play together.

Premarital Counselling
Equiping young couples to be more prepared before they step into marriage. It is by appointment.

Each child is unique with their own personality and characteristics. Our Children and Youth Ministries strive to provide engaging age-appropriate games, activities, and fun bible lessons that will encourage your child/children's personal and spiritual development.

About our Teachers: All our teachers have been through our Teachers Training Class which qualifies and enables them to meet and understand your child's emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual needs. Please give our teachers the honor and privilege of teaching your child/children. Thank you so very much!

Nursery: For Enfants to 2 years of age. The Nursery is a dedicated space located at the back of the Sanctuary, allowing parents to participate in the Worship Service where their child has freedom of movement.

Master Club: A fun time of games and sing-alongs Ages 2-10 Every Sunday from 10am-11am. located in the Hall on the first floor

Sunday School Classes for ages 3-5, grades 1-2, grades 3-4,
grades 5-7, Grades 8-10 and grades 11-12 from 11:15 am-12:15 pm.

Considering the needs of the seniors, CTBC started the Seniors Fellowship in 2019. In this fellowship, the senior brothers and sisters share their lives, encourage each other, and pray for each other.

Participation requirements: over 60 years old, church members and seekers. Meeting time: There is a fellowship every quarter, on the third Thursday of the last month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Meeting place: church, or at home, this year we meet at Vivienne's house.

The fellowship prepares simple meals and celebrates the birthdays of brothers and sisters who have birthdays in the season. This fellowship has been ongoing for almost six years. In these years, many co-workers and many brothers and sisters have silently supported us and provided great help.

We know that CTBC is the church of Jesus Christ and our spiritual home. Each of our brothers and sisters needs God's care and guidance. Each of us needs care, so our care ministry is also the mission given to us by God, because God sees us as precious and asks us to love each other. Many brothers and sisters are involved in this ministry under the leadership of the pastor's wife. The content of the ministry is mainly for our new friends, whether they are already Christians or seekers, we must further invite them, help them, and pray for them. If you have any needs in life or spirituality, you can also tell me in time, the church is our strong backing. Here there is God's care and God's protection, and there is also the love and care of our brothers and sisters.
